Green pond algae ‘could be made into biofuel’

Telegraph: The green algae floating on top of ponds could be transformed into fuel for cars and planes in the future, an energy company has claimed. The liquid fuel would be chemically identical to crude oil but would not contribute to climate change when it was burnt, Sapphire Energy say.
